Do it yourself alternative septic system

 

We decided to save a little and make a design of alternative cheap septic system. Based on the septic theory, we took two spare tanks from the industrial fluids and made pipes connection between them as shown on the sheme below:

The volume of two septic tanks should be enough to store the 3 days wastes volume. That period is enough to start the process of bacterial wastes cleaning. The final stage of the cleaning will take place in the septic fields. Sure you can fiind a lot of septic theory information in the Web. So, connected with pipes two septic tanks were placed into a undeground position. Walls were improved with concrete. That will save the septic tanks from the mechanical damages of the seasonal temeperature movings. All septic tanks walls were also insulated with the styro foam.

All pipes outside septic tanks were insulated with the styro foam coating too. Septic fields pipes were placed with the angle down from the septic to avoid the ground water coming in the septic tank. The other way is placing the special sewring valve on the pipe going out of the septic tank. If you have the ground waters level very high in your lot - cooming close to the surface of the ground, thу best choice than is above ground septic.
