My name is Andrew and I am building a house in countryside in Russia - not far from St. Petersburg. Here I will tell you about my own experience of my DIY projects.

That two story concrete block house at the photo was designed by myself without any help of professional architecht. Also I supervised the construction works and did a lot of stuff myself. Forgot to tell you - my basic occupation is medicine (which is not very well paid in Russia - so I have to do a lot myself). So I got a lot of fun while doing that house construction.

All design and engeneering for that house were made on a knee with a big look for the best smaples of the concrete houses. That concrete block houses was planned as the second house for the family, that most of the time spending in the city apartment.
